Maine Aerial Arts Competition 2026 Participant Policies & Agreement By completing enrollment in the Maine Aerial Arts Competition (MAAC), participants and their families acknowledge and agree to the following policies: Code of Conduct MAAC is committed to maintaining a professional, respectful, and supportive competitive environment. All participants, family members, coaches, and guests are expected to conduct themselves with respect toward: • Fellow competitors • Judges and event staff • Volunteers and venue personnel • The facility and equipment Unsportsmanlike behavior, harassment, disruptive conduct, or public disparagement of judges or scoring decisions will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the event without refund. Judging decisions are final. Attendance Requirement Participation in the competition requires: • Submission of routine video by September 1, 2026 • Attendance at mandatory rehearsal on October 25, 2026 at 1:00 PM • Attendance on competition day, November 1, 2026 Failure to attend required dates may result in forfeiture of participation without refund. No Refund Policy All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. This includes withdrawals due to injury, scheduling conflicts, personal circumstances, or failure to meet participation requirements. MAAC reserves the right to modify scheduling or event structure if necessary for safety or logistical reasons. Media Release By participating in MAAC, participants (and guardians of minors) grant permission for photographs, video recordings, live streaming, interviews, and promotional materials to be used by Maine Aerial Arts Competition for marketing, educational, and promotional purposes across digital, print, and media platforms without compensation. Assumption of Risk & Waiver Aerial arts is a physically demanding discipline that involves inherent risk. By enrolling in MAAC, participants acknowledge and accept full responsibility for their training, preparation, and performance. The Maine Aerial Arts Competition, its directors, judges, volunteers, sponsors, and affiliated venues are not responsible for injuries sustained during: • Training • Rehearsal • Competition performance • Travel to and from the event Participants are expected to train under the guidance of certified aerial instructors and to prepare routines appropriate to their skill level. All competitors participate at their own risk.
